Start with what you are going to do with it. If it is going to be fought with, look at baselit — the blade is a plain tube lit from the base, so there is less inside it to break, and nearly every baselit hilt here is rated for heavy duelling. If you want the blade to behave the way it does on screen, look at neopixel: a lit strip runs its whole length, so it ignites from the hilt up and flares where it is struck. That strip is also why neopixel hilts are rated for lighter contact. Proffie is neopixel with the software opened up, for anyone who would rather write their own effects than choose from a menu.
