Born into poverty on Tatooine, Anakin Skywalker was discovered late by the Jedi Order yet accepted regardless — because the Force moved through him at a level no living being had matched. Prophesied as the Chosen One, he entered the Order carrying both extraordinary promise and a grief the Jedi code had no language for. That tension defined him from the start.
The fall came not through weakness but through love — the one vulnerability the Jedi Order never taught him to hold. Seduced by the promise of power over death, he crossed a line that could not be uncrossed. Anakin Skywalker was gone. What the galaxy inherited was Darth Vader: encased in black armour, bound to the Emperor's will, and carrying a red blade that had no memory of the light.
Vader's blade endured across every chapter that followed — the EP5 design carried through The Empire Strikes Back, the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, and multiple game appearances, while the Revenge of the Sith and Return of the Jedi hilts mark the arc's beginning and end.
