The Story

The Baylan Skoll Lightsaber is a commanding and battle-ready weapon, designed for warriors who embrace both strength and precision. The hilt is crafted from high-grade aluminium alloy, featuring a striking silver and black finish that exudes power. The ribbed lower grip provides superior handling, while the emitter boasts a unique cross-guard-style design, enhancing both its defensive and aesthetic appeal. The activation switch, accented in red, adds a bold contrast, completing the saber’s formidable appearance.

Equipped with Xenopixel V3 electronics, this lightsaber features a Neopixel blade, designed for showcase and light duelling, but never for heavy duelling. It offers a full spectrum of customisable colours and comes preloaded with 34 immersive sound fonts, ensuring an authentic and dynamic experience. Additional features include smooth swing motion detection, flash-on-clash effects, multiple ignition and blade styles, gesture controls, and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery for extended use. The Bluetooth connectivity allows for easy customisation via the “XenoConfigurator” app, available on iOS and Android.

Start with what you are going to do with it. If it is going to be fought with, look at baselit — the blade is a plain tube lit from the base, so there is less inside it to break, and nearly every baselit hilt here is rated for heavy duelling. If you want the blade to behave the way it does on screen, look at neopixel: a lit strip runs its whole length, so it ignites from the hilt up and flares where it is struck. That strip is also why neopixel hilts are rated for lighter contact. Proffie is neopixel with the software opened up, for anyone who would rather write their own effects than choose from a menu.
