Daughter of Mandalore's ruling house, Bo-Katan Kryze grew up with power as her birthright and war as her education. Where her sister Duchess Satine counselled peace, Bo-Katan chose a different path — joining Death Watch, carrying a rifle, and learning what it meant to fight for Mandalore rather than simply govern it.
Years of fighting under Death Watch's banner gave her skill without purpose — until the Clone Wars forced a reckoning. When Darth Maul seized the Darksaber and with it Mandalore itself, Bo-Katan had to choose between the warrior she had been and the leader her world needed. She chose the harder thing: responsibility.
Ahsoka Tano gave her the Darksaber, but the symbol and the burden were hers to carry separately. Regent of Mandalore came later, earned through years of holding a fractured world together. The two designs here span that entire stretch — Clone Wars survivor to New Republic claimant, the same blade, a heavier hand.
The Darksaber was never just a weapon — it was a verdict on who she was always meant to become.
