Born into the noble house of Serenno, Dooku was identified as Force-sensitive in infancy and taken into the Jedi Order — where he rose to become one of the most gifted Jedi of his generation. A natural master of Makashi, a brilliant political mind, and Yoda's own Padawan, he carried himself with an authority that set him apart long before the galaxy knew his name.
The fracture came quietly. Disillusioned by the Order's entanglement with a Senate he saw as corrupt beyond saving, Dooku walked away — something almost no Jedi of his standing had ever done. He returned to Serenno, reclaimed his title and inheritance, and found Sidious waiting. What followed was not a sudden fall but a calculated choice: he believed he was fighting for a better galaxy, even as the dark side remade him.
Tales of the Jedi traces him back further — a Jedi still carrying his convictions, before the fall. The prequel films chart the Sith Lord he became.
