Born into the Force and shaped by a lifetime of devotion to the Jedi Order, Mace Windu rose to become one of the most formidable Masters the Order had ever produced — elected Master of the Order, appointed to the High Council, and trusted enough to serve as an advisor to Supreme Chancellor Palpatine himself, despite his own distaste for politics.
The turning point came when his long-held suspicion of Chancellor Palpatine crystallised into certainty. Windu moved to arrest Sidious alongside three fellow Masters — and watched them fall one by one. He bested Sidious alone. What followed was not a failure of strength or skill: Anakin Skywalker's intervention, in that final instant, decided everything.
