The Face Behind the Mask
Before the mask, before the red blade, before the name the Jedi would come to fear — there was a Padawan. Trained by Master Vernestra Rwoh during the High Republic Era, he was considered a young man of genuine promise: Force-sensitive, capable, and on a path that should have led somewhere entirely different.
His disillusionment with the Jedi's understanding of the Force drove him away from everything he had been trained to become. Master Rwoh discovered what he had turned to — denounced him, scarred him, and left him for dead. He survived. And in the years that followed, guided by Darth Plagueis himself, that wound became the foundation of something far more deliberate: a Sith Lord operating in plain sight, behind an alias and a cortosis mask.
As the Stranger, he moved through the High Republic Era wearing the Qimir alias like a second skin — arms trader, occasional merchant, unremarkable by design. Behind it, he was building something: training Mae-ho Aniseya as his acolyte, engineering a collision with the Jedi that would eventually bring Osha Aniseya into his orbit instead. Both designs in this catalogue belong to that period, drawn from his appearances across The Acolyte.
The mask hid more than his face — it hid everything the Jedi Order had lost the day it cast him out.
