Core 05 ·
Programmable
Proffie 2.2
Neopixel running full ProffieOS — the only core you can reprogram yourself.
Proffie 2.2 runs the same pixel blade with the firmware opened up. Blade styles, effects and sound fonts become things you edit rather than things you pick from a list. It's the only core on the ladder that works this way, and that is the whole case for it.
It is not a bigger tier in any other sense. Its stock library is 25 fonts, the smallest of the three pixel cores, with smooth swing and Bluetooth alongside. 195 complete sabers carry it, from $219.99.
The cost is that the editing is yours to do. If you've never opened a config file, expect a learning curve. Like every pixel hilt, it's rated for light duelling.
Best for
The customiser. Buy it because you already know you'll open the config, not because you might one day.
The Saber Core guide
Pick the tier. The core follows.
Three tiers, one verdict each. The full guide has the reasoning, the comparison and the trade-offs.
Baselit
S-RGB · RGB-X
For duelling. Rated for heavy contact, and where prices start. The trade: the blade lights from the hilt, with no ignition or strike effects along it.
Pixel
Xenopixel V3 · SNV4 PRO
For the film look. The blade itself lights — climbing ignition, flares where it’s struck. The trade: rated for light duelling.
Programmable
Proffie 2.2
For writing your own effects. The same pixel blade with the firmware opened up. The trade: the editing is yours to do.
