Which characters carry the most choice
Maul, Obi-Wan, Ventress, Anakin and Dooku are the deep benches here. Each carries several hilts across different Saber Cores and both duelling grades, so you can pick the character first and still choose your electronics afterwards. Further along the rail the choice narrows sharply — Quinlan Vos, Kit Fisto and Even Piell sit at the single-variant end, and if you want a particular Core on one of those, check the variant list before you commit to the character.
The hilt shapes this era gave the catalogue
Three silhouettes belong almost entirely to the Prequels: the double-blade staff, the curved duelling hilt, and the shoto paired with a full-length blade. All three change how the saber handles, not just how it looks. A staff wants a two-handed grip and clears a much wider arc, so give it more room than you think. A curved hilt shifts the wrist angle enough that duelists tend to notice within a few minutes. The shoto reads beautifully on a shelf and is the most awkward of the three to spar with.
Duelling grade on Prequel hilts
Most of the named characters in this era appear in both grades. Heavy duelling uses a reinforced blade and tighter emitter tolerances, and it is the one to buy if the saber will ever see contact. Display grade uses the same hilt with a lighter blade and softer diffusion — better on a shelf and under a camera. The double-blade hilts are worth checking either way, because the grade options differ from model to model.
Saber Core choice across the era
Every Core in the range appears somewhere in this era. S-RGB and RGB-X are the entry Cores and both include Bluetooth app configuration and infinite blade colours — features most retailers hold back for their mid tier. SNV4 PRO adds custom sound font support. Xenopixel V3 and Proffie 2.2 sit at the top of the range, and on the character replicas here those are usually the builds with the more detailed blade animations.
